Stranger-Biography
This melodic pop-rock quartet was formed in Florida, USA,
during 1981 by Greg Billings (vocals), Ronnie Garvin (guitar),
Tom Cardenas (bass) and John Price (drums).

They signed to CBS Records the following year.
Produced by Tom Werman (of Ted Nugent and Mötley Crüe fame),
their debut album was a highly impressive collection of anthemic rockers, Despite its seemingly
obvious commercial potential the album failed to make an impact.
The band toured the southeast and became the biggest drawing
circut club band as well as show openers for major recording acts.
Stranger opened shows for Triumph, Quiet Riot and many other
big name acts of the time. Their second album released nine
years later was an EP of 4 songs. Stranger released several other albums
all which are hard to find now, but well worth the search.
Sadly in 1996 Guitarist Ronnie Garvin committed suicide.
